With the Reports feature, you can schedule energy reports to be created at regular intervals automatically.
To do this, head to the Scheduler tab on the Reports page and click the new button in the top right of the page. You'll need to enter some details about your scheduled report, such as:
- the name of the report
- which sites you'd like to be included in the report
- the theme of the report
- how often you'd like the report to be automatically created
By default, any scheduled reports will get sent out to your email after they're created. You can turn this off from your email preferences which can be found on the Preferences page.
A list of all the automated reports that have already been sent can be found on the Historical tab of the Report page, allowing you to compare reports and see how your energy use has changed over time.
Report Themes
Surple has an ever-growing library of report themes. Each report theme has different energy charts and serves a different purpose. To see what each report theme looks like, you can click the see example button below the theme selector. If you feel like you'd benefit from a new report theme, please get in touch.
Additional Recipients
We understand that sometimes you'd like someone who isn't a user of the platform to receive updates about a building's energy use in the form of a report. That's why we added the additional recipients option. Using this feature, you can ensure that other individuals receive scheduled reports in their inbox automatically, even if they don't have a Surple account. To add someone as an additional recipient, you must have created them as a contact. New contacts can be created from the Preferences page.
